Melissa produced this body of work during her 2024 art residency at the Lighthouse Arts in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. She was inspired by the soft coastal greys and muted pastel tones from the salty air hanging over the city during her residency, creating a softness and sense of calm to her work. The series consists of 5 different images illustrating the different view outside her studio window each day as she was rotated around the lighthouse.
